1月24日讯 此前被各方一致认为将免签加盟皇马的戴维斯，已经基本确定和拜仁续下长约，《马卡报》透露了细节内容。
该媒体指出，戴维斯已不再优先考虑皇马，这是因为双方在去年2月达成加盟协议后，拜仁也愿意在夏窗出售戴维斯，但皇马选择按兵不动。这也是因为皇马近年在免签球员方面屡屡尝到甜头，姆巴佩、吕迪格、阿拉巴都是免签而来。现在皇马又已经和阿诺德达成协议，由于利物浦不愿在冬窗出售，预计阿诺德将在6月底自由身加盟皇马。
但阿方索-戴维斯则选择了不同的答复。该媒体指出，戴维斯实际上并不是本月才突然改变想法，而是由于半年前所发生的情况：
戴维斯在去年2月已经和皇马达成协议，戴维斯同意不再和拜仁续约。而去年夏天，拜仁据此判断出戴维斯已经寻觅到了下家，因此告知戴维斯，俱乐部愿意以5500万到6000万欧元出售他。
但因为欧冠的成功，安切洛蒂坚持续约门迪并表示“门迪是世界上防守最好的左后卫”，他不希望因为戴维斯而失去门迪。皇马经过深思熟虑后选择了门迪，并要求戴维斯（他在那几个月状态有所下滑）等待到合同结束再免签来投。
戴维斯则感觉自己被怠慢了，对皇马很是失望，因此开始以更为积极的态度听取拜仁的续约报价。尽管戴维斯并未彻底否决加盟皇马的可能，但情况已经出现逆转。皇马高层后来意识到了这一点，而门迪的首发位置也被弗兰-加西亚取代。
皇马现在再次急需引进左后卫，但戴维斯已经不再是可能人选，他选择留在拜仁并不只是因为钱。
